Adjective of Number संख्यावाचक विशेषण

Adjective of number का उपयोग "कितने" प्रश्न के उस उत्तर में होता है जहाँ गिनती की जा सकती. यह बताता है कि कितने व्यक्तियों या वस्तुओं से हमारा अभिप्राय है या व्यक्ति या वस्तु किस क्रम में है. संख्या की जानकारी देने वाले इस विशेषण को संख्यावाचक विशेषण भी कहते हैं.
Adjective of number is used to answer the question how much, wherever it can be counted.

Definite Numeral Adjective निश्चित संख्यावाचक विशेषण

Definite numeral adjective निश्चित संख्या की जानकारी देता है.
Definite numeral adjective gives information in terms of the exact number.

One, two, three, first, secon इत्यादि.

1. I need one book. मुझे एक किताब चाहिये
2. These two girls are sisters. ये दो लड़कियाँ बहनें हैं.
3. That girl finished the race in the first position. उस लड़की ने दौड़ प्रथम स्थान पर पूर्ण किये.

वे शब्द जिनसे संख्या का पता चलता है, cardinals कहलाते हैं और ये कितने (how many) सूचित करते हैं.
The words that inform about the number are called cardinals, they answer the question how many.

दुसरी तरफ First, second, third इत्यादि. जैसे शब्द हैं. ये ordinals कहलाते हैं और ये "क्रम में कितवा" सूचित करते हैं.
On the other hand there are words like first, second, third etc. These are ordinals and they describe the position in a series.

2. Any student can pass the exams. कोई भी विद्यार्थी परीक्षा में सफल हो सकता है..

इन्हीं शब्दों का उपयोग Adjective of Quantity के लिये किया जाता है. विभाजन के समय उस noun पर गौर करने जिसका यह विवरण देता हैं. यदि उस noun को गिना जा सकता है तो यह Adjective of number के अंतर्गत वर्गिकृत होगा, नहीं तो इसे Adjective of Quantity का दर्जा दिया जायेगा.

These adjectives are same as those used in the Adjective of Quantity. The classification depends on the noun that they describe - if the noun is countable then it is Adjective of Number otherwise it is Adjective of Quantity.

Adjective of Quantity I would like to each some rice. Some specifies the how much rice (uncountable) item.

Distributive Numeral Adjective प्रतयेकवाचक विशेषण

Distributive numeral adjective वह adjective है जो किसी वर्ग के प्रत्येक व्यक्ति या वस्तु का बोध करता है.

1. Each boy must pass the exam.
2. Every man should do his duty.
3. I want to meet every member of the team.

यहाँ each और every ऐसे adjective जो प्रत्येक boy, man या word.
